Leadership: the glue that holds everything together

The Carnegie Leadership Consultants provide students and student organizations with opportunities for leadership-based networking, experience sharing, and applied learning that are by students for students. We do this by creating face-to-face and online spaces for students to study and discuss leadership together.

Our consultants have numerous experiences across a variety of leadership positions within student organizations at Carnegie Mellon University. We work closely with student organizations, the Office of Student Leadership, Involvement, and Civic Engagement, and other campus partners to bring high quality leadership enrichment to the community.

Areas of Focus

Open WOrkshops & Resources

We want every student at Carnegie Mellon to have access to high-quality, engaging leadership development experiences. We hold workshops that are open to the entire community that offer students new ways to think about leadership. We recognize many CMU students have full schedules, so we also offer resources on our website and social media that are bite-sized and accessible at any time.

Personalized Consultations

Our campus is vibrant due to the hundreds of student organizations available. We recognize there is not a one size fits all answer to serving every organization. This is why we offer customized services to organization, such as personal and professional workshops for your members around a specific topic or consultations with your executive board to explore a certain challenge.

Strategic Partnerships

We collaborate with a variety of campus entities working in the leadership space to inject a student perspective into the development of their programming and share our experience and offerings. We are committed to fostering a culture of leadership and this is only possible through coordination with a variety of partners.

No one will make a great leader who wants to do it all themselves, or to get all the credit for doing it.
